We are the inhouse consulting within the Bosch Group and actively drive the evolution of a leading technology company with around 428,000 associates worldwide (as of December 31, 2023). We advise our top management on a variety of topics covering portfolio and business strategy, M&A activities as well as cost improvement and operational excellence. Based in Ludwigsburg and Shanghai we support all areas of Bosch ranging from the mobility sector, over smart home appliances, automation solutions for industrial and mobile applications to power tools. Always striving for “Technology for life”.

The journey with the home comfort group was all about the transition to a sustainable lifestyle. Enabling a high level of comfort through the electrification of heating and cooling solutions. We also accompanied the portfolio adaptation along with a new sales and service concept for Europe to address the new market needs.

Mobility

As the leading supplier of original automotive equipment, Bosch is engaged in a wide range of activities, which are organized into six divisions. The business sector also includes the Mobility Aftermarket and Bosch eBike Systems divisions. Further activities involve two-wheelers, commercial as well as off-highway vehicles, and engineering and software services.

Industrial Technology

This business sector comprises the Drive and Control Technology division, the Bosch Manufacturing Solutions business unit, which primarily provides in-house assembly services, and the Bosch Connected Industry business unit. The development and manufacturing of automation and drive technology for various industries, including manufacturing, packaging, and semiconductor production is part of this business sector. The portfolio includes products such as controls, drives, sensors, and software solutions that contribute to optimizing production processes.

Consumer Goods

This business sector comprises the two divisions Power Tools and BSH. BSH is a leading provider of household appliances, offering a wide range of products for the home, including kitchen appliances, washing machines, and air conditioners. Power Tools is a business unit that focuses on the manufacturing and distribution of power tools and accessories for professional users and DIY enthusiasts.

Energy and Building Technology

This business sector includes the Building Technologies, Home Comfort, and Bosch Global Service Solutions divisions, as well as the Smart Home business unit. He focuses on the development and manufacturing of products and solutions for energy efficiency, security, and comfort in buildings. The portfolio includes heating and climate systems, security systems, energy management solutions, and smart home technologies.

Case study and on-site presentation

In the case study interview, you will be asked to demonstrate your problem-solving and analytical skills by analyzing a fictional business scenario and presenting solutions. Your thinking process, structuring, and communication skills will be evaluated.
